On Behalf of the Ignored...

As you may have noticed, we are, from time to time, a little bit miffed when the student voice at Hampstead, or in fact nationally, is ignored by the powers that be, and hence why we set this up, to give students a voice that is actually listened to and, begrudgingly, acted upon (usually for fear of a media firestorm because we show the school to be what they actually are; a bunch of gibbering idiots who don't care and usually can't tell their arse from their elbow).

So, occasionally, we raid one of the suggestion boxes, and give certain suggestions the true light they deserve. Now, as with anything, there will always be a certain number of people mocking the system (and rightly so), such as this one which reads:

"I believe there shooood beeee A zoo, wata slide, sk8 park and lighthouse
yours unhappily
Gandalf"

Which went on, on the other side:

"In addition I am blackmailing the school if u want recycling bin back u must pay ransom of €3.50
from
the government of Iraq"

However, there were some, if hilariously indignant, serious notes left, such as:

"Dear Suggestion Box,
I am appalled by the lack of bins in the park area of this education centre. They seem to benefit those in the Quad (as it is referred to), but not in our recreational zone.In addition to this, I am intrigued to know when this edifice is being knocked down, as there seems to be a lack of communication between students and teachers, and between faculties - e.g the Music Dept. is being refurbished.
Thanks!"

Whilst they may be a bit over-the-top, they do have some salient points. The school have had an evening in which parents and students were invited to talk through the plans of the New Building, and so have been slightly forthcoming, but only since they have been told what is happening (having previously been in the dark about it all) and since we started kicking up a fuss, the articles of which can be found here and here.
